About the Implants We Use

Understanding the devices used in your care can be an important part of making an informed decision about breast augmentation. Dr Justin Perron uses breast implants that are registered on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) as Class III medical devices. Class III is Australia’s highest regulatory classification for implantable devices, and registration with the ARTG means each implant has been assessed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) against the requirements applicable to that device class before it can be used in Australia.

Brands that may be available in Dr Perron’s practice include Mentor, Allergan, and Motiva. The implant that may be most appropriate for you will depend on factors such as your anatomy, your goals, and the clinical assessment carried out during your consultation. You are encouraged to ask questions about device selection, sizing, and any other aspects of the procedure that are important to you.

Full registration records for each device are publicly accessible through the TGA Therapeutic Goods Register at tga.gov.au, allowing you to review the regulatory status of any implant at any time.
